Paul Ibe, media aide to Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has stated that opposition leaders Atiku and Peter Obi have learned valuable lessons from the 2023 presidential election and are now prepared to unite to remove the “incompetent and clueless” administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ibe made the comments during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Monday.
In the 2023 election, Atiku and Obi, of the PDP and Labour Party respectively, each garnered over six million votes, while Bola Tinubu of the APC won with over eight million votes. Obi, a former PDP member and long-time ally of Atiku, had defected to the Labour Party months before the election. Many analysts believe the PDP weakened its chances of ousting the APC by splitting its vote with Labour Party.

Ibe emphasized that both Atiku and Obi have learned from past mistakes and are determined to avoid a repeat in the future.
He also highlighted that Nigeria is facing significant challenges, including rising food inflation, overall inflation, high business costs, and a growing cost of living crisis.
