Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has called on President Bola Tinubu to reduce the price of petrol (PMS) to N300 per litre for the months of December and January, to help Nigerians experience a more festive Christmas season.
Fuel prices have surged to between N1,100 and N1,200 per litre following the removal of the fuel subsidy in 2023.
This sharp increase in fuel costs has been a major factor in the country’s rising inflation, which currently stands at 33.88%.
