The aircraft, registered 5N-JRT, was carrying five passengers at the time, according to a statement from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
FAAN spokesperson Obiageli Orah confirmed that the passengers were safely rescued and taken to the hospital for medical care.

Following the incident, the airport temporarily closed the runway.
The disruption resulted in significant delays, with several departures postponed as authorities worked to clear the runway.
