Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is mourning the loss of his mother, just months after announcing the passing of his father.
Nwabali shared the heartbreaking news of his mother’s death on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday evening.

“Rip mom,” he wrote, saying it is the “worst year of my life already “.

The goalkeeper, however, did not provide details on how the mother passed away.
He lost his father just over a month ago, shortly before the Super Eagles’ match against Rwanda in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in mid-November.
Nwabali’s father, Godspower Onyekam Abali, Chief Onyeogazrim I of Okwuzi, was 67 years old at the time of his passing.
