Bello was treated to a warm reception by residents in Okene.

The visit of Bello to Okene which came at the end of 2024, comes days after he was released from Kuje Custodial Centre after fulfilling the bail conditions set by the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja.
Bello, along with Shuaibu Oricha and Abdulsalam Hudu, is facing a 16-count charge of conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, and unlawful possession of property, filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
All three have pleaded not guilty.
