On Tuesday, Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, accused the 18 suspended local government council chairmen of diverting and remitting approximately N12 billion to leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over a span of 15 months.
In response, Tony Aziegbemi, the Chairman of the Edo PDP Caretaker Committee, denied the allegation, asserting that no such funds were given to PDP leaders by the suspended chairmen.

Aziegbemi called on the governor to provide evidence to support his claims and urged him not to take matters into his own hands but to instead refer any such issues to the state’s anti-corruption agency.
Nigerians have reacted to the allegation of Okpebholo against the Edo LG Chairmen.
