Mother Of Girl Killed By ‘Gospel Singer’ Timileyin Ajayi Makes Fresh Revelation

Ojomachenwu Adaidu, the mother of Salome Adaidu, has shared the heartbreaking details of her final moments with her daughter, who was allegedly murdered by Oluwatimileyin Ajayi.

Salome, 24, was a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja.

Before her tragic death, she had visited Ajayi at his home in Papalana, New Karshi, located in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Ajayi was discovered on Sunday attempting to dispose of Salome’s body.

Speaking recently with BBC Pidgin, mother of the deceased said: “I called her on Saturday and asked where she was. She told me she was washing clothes. I then asked if she was washing the clothes alone. She said yes and added that the firstborn child was in the living room cleaning it.

“She also told me that once she finished, she planned to go to the place where she does her NYSC training. Maybe it was from that training that this incident happened because the bag she took to the training was the same one the police brought, which I saw on Monday.”

The mourning mother called for justice for her daughter.

“Maybe on her way to the place, she entered a ‘one-chance’ (a kind of scam often involving public transport), or someone used medicine (voodoo) on her because she doesn’t have friends like that. I want justice for my child,” she said.

The Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Police Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, had previously assured that the law would be upheld.

“Investigation is ongoing and upon conclusion, he will be arraigned in court for prosecution. I want to assure the family and members of the public that this suspect will not be spared if found wanting,” Nansel said.
