Armed security personnel have reportedly taken control of the Assembly premises at Alausa, Ikeja, and the surrounding areas.

This comes a few weeks after former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa was impeached, a move that has caused turmoil within the House, with Obasa rejecting the impeachment.

There are now indications that Obasa could return as Speaker, following intervention from President Bola Tinubu.
