Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has praised Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Abba, for maintaining peace and security during the local government election held on Saturday.
In a statement released on Wednesday by the Osun police spokesperson, CSP Yemisi Opalola, Egbetokun’s commendation came during his visit to the state police command on Tuesday.
According to Opalola, the IGP visited Osun to oversee security operations and assess the situation following the election.
Represented by Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) Ari Muhammed Ali, he acknowledged the efforts of officers who worked diligently to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
“He also applauded the Osun Commissioner of Police for his leadership and commitment to creating a secure environment during the election,” Opalola stated.
The IGP further appreciated the dedication and hard work of the officers and expressed gratitude for their service to the nation and the police force.
