Tinubu Passes Vote Of Confidence On APC Leadership

President Bola Tinubu has expressed confidence in the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to drive national development and contribute to Africa’s growth.

Speaking at the APC Caucus meeting at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s *Renewed Hope* manifesto.

“We have the ability to shape this country’s future and make a difference. I am encouraged by global developments, which serve as a lesson that Nigeria, as a major African nation, can build and help the continent grow,” he said.

He emphasized the need for not just food security but food sovereignty, positioning Nigeria as a key player in Africa’s economic transformation.

“I am very optimistic—the brighter days of this country are ahead. The era of gloom is over, and we are moving toward a more promising future for our people,” Tinubu stated.

Acknowledging the challenges caused by some of his administration’s policies, he defended the removal of fuel subsidies, arguing that they would have crippled the nation’s economy and hindered meaningful government interventions.

“Our resolve to deliver remains unwavering, despite the pessimistic and baseless criticisms from detractors. They will continue talking, but we are fully focused on progress,” he said.

Tinubu urged APC Caucus members to be patient with his administration, stressing that strategic repositioning is necessary to fulfill the aspirations of Nigerians.

“We must build on our achievements and push forward with an agenda that aligns with the hopes of the people. I remain committed to our manifesto, progressive ideals, and vision for Nigeria,” he assured.

The President also commended APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje for his leadership, particularly in securing victories in recent elections.

“I appreciate our party chairman. You have earned recognition for your efforts in various elections. You are our pride, and we are fortunate to have a hardworking leader guiding our party,” Tinubu said.

Additionally, Senator Abdulaziz Yari (APC-Zamfara West) acknowledged improvements in the security situation in Zamfara during the meeting.
