Supporters of the removed Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, gathered at the assembly complex on Thursday.
Videos and photos circulating on social media showed the supporters holding placards and singing in Obasa’s favor at the entrance of the complex.

Earlier, Obasa arrived at the assembly complex with some security personnel and proceeded to the Speaker’s Office around noon.
This incident came after the security aides assigned to the current Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, were withdrawn.
Meranda’s Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye, confirmed the situation in a brief statement on Thursday, accusing Obasa and his team of forcefully entering the office.
