The Defendants (Oguntade Segun and Adeyemi Sile) in charge number, FHC/AB/8C/25 were arraigned on two counts charge of conspiracy and vandalization of 500/33kv transformer at Atan Ijebu sometime in January, 2020.
The 2 convicts pleaded guilty to both charges and the Prosecution went ahead to state the facts of the case.
In the court’s judgement delivered on 24th February, 2025, the court was convinced that the Prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt and thereafter convicted both suspects accordingly.

During allocutus, the convicts pleaded for leniency and the prosecution also presented to the court that the 1st convict (Oguntade Segun) isn’t a first time offender, as he previously faced trial before M.A. Olatunji Mrs. Of the Magistrate Court, Ile-Ife, Osun State in 2018.
The convicts were consequently sentenced to 4 years’ imprisonment for the first count and another 4 years’ imprisonment for the second count.
The term is to run concurrently.
