Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has pledged to reveal details about Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s leadership style.
Her statement follows her referral to the Senate’s Ethics and Disciplinary Committee after a dispute with Akpabio over seating arrangements.
Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed her willingness to appear before the committee but insisted that the proceedings should be public rather than held behind closed doors.

She shared this stance in an Instagram post, advocating for a live broadcast of the investigation.
“Good morning, courageous people of Kogi Central, Kogi State, and Nigeria,” she wrote. “Inasmuch as I have refrained from publicly speaking on the matter and a lot of occurrences at the Senate under Senate President Akpabio, it’s about time I break my silence.
“Arise News, set a date, and I shall be in your studio in person. Spare no questions.
“And to Nigerians, please be sure to join the probe, which I shall insist would be covered live. The next few days and weeks shall be interesting but will shape the standard and quality of Nigeria’s leadership.”
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s response came after the Northern Youths Advocacy for Excellence filed a petition against her with the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions.
The petition accused her of corruption, abuse of power, and mistreatment of staff within the Senate Committee on Local Content, which she chairs.
It called for a thorough investigation into her alleged “illegal, subversive, and intimidating activities” and recommended disciplinary action if found guilty.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, however, has denied the allegations, emphasizing the need for transparency and vowing to speak openly about the claims and broader issues within the Senate leadership.
The controversy began last week when she confronted Senate President Godswill Akpabio over the relocation of her seat in the Senate chamber.
During the heated exchange, Akpabio ordered Senate security to remove her from the chamber, but other senators intervened to defuse the situation.
Following the incident, the Senate, through its spokesman, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, criticized Akpoti-Uduaghan for challenging the Senate President, stating that the chamber was not a place for entertainment.
In response, on Tuesday, the Kogi lawmaker filed a N100.3 billion defamation lawsuit against Akpabio and others.
