Presidency Reacts As US Court Orders FBI, Anti-Drug Agency To Release Tinubu’s Records

The Presidency has responded to the United States District Court’s order for US law enforcement agencies, specifically the FBI, to release confidential information concerning President Bola Tinubu.

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, stated that the information being requested does not implicate President Tinubu in any wrongdoing.

He also suggested that the reports by FBI Agent Moss and the DEA contain no new information, asserting that these reports have been publicly available for over 30 years.

According to Onanuga,  “Journalists have sought the Presidency’s reaction to the ruling last Tuesday by a Washington DC judge ordering the US FBI and DEA to release reports connected with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“There is nothing new to be revealed. The report by Agent Moss of the FBI and the DEA report have been in the public space for more than 30 years. The reports did not indict the Nigerian leader. The lawyers are examining the ruling.”
