Abbas Announces Defection Of Three PDP Reps To APC

Three House of Representatives members from Katsina State, who were elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have officially switched their allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaker Tajudeen Abbas announced their defection during a plenary session at the National Assembly in Abuja.

The lawmakers attributed their decision to the ongoing internal conflicts and unresolved disputes within the PDP, which they claim have hindered their ability to effectively represent their constituents and support progressive governance.

This defection is seen as a political victory for the APC, as it continues to strengthen its hold in key states.

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda attended the plenary session to show his support for the defecting lawmakers.
