The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has announced its support for President Bola Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang to serve a second term in their respective offices.
According to a Saturday statement from forum chairman Saleh Zazzaga, this decision was reached during an expanded stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday night.
The forum also declared its adoption of the Green Cap Movement, which is linked to Governor Mutfwang, for the 2027 governorship election in Plateau State, while reiterating its earlier endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term.

The statement read, “We have decided to adopt the Green Cap Movement in Plateau because we believe the time is now. Although Mutfwang belongs to the PDP, we believe he is performing well and must be supported to succeed.
Similarly, we are endorsing our President, Bola Tinubu, for 2027 because of his exceptional performance.”
The forum also urged Governor Mutfwang to join the APC, arguing that aligning with the President would benefit both him and the state.
It dismissed claims that the Green Cap Movement is exclusive to the PDP, calling such assertions baseless.
“The Green Cap is not a symbol of any particular political party. It represents a mindset and the people, not a platform. Its slogan, ‘The Time is Now’, is a universal call for reform and accountability,” the statement clarified.
Furthermore, the forum demanded that the Rufus Bature-led Plateau APC executive withdraw its criticism of the Green Cap Movement’s adoption.
It also refuted claims by the Plateau APC that it is not a recognized entity within the party, asserting that it is officially registered and recognized at the national level, representing North-Central stakeholders.
The forum criticized the Plateau APC executive for its failure to secure electoral victories for the party and Tinubu in the 2023 elections.
