The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a N20 million fee for aspirants seeking to contest senatorial seats in the upcoming 2025 bye-elections.
The cost for House of Representatives aspirants has been set at N10 million.
This was outlined in the official timetable and schedule of activities released by the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Monday.

The document, signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, details the fee breakdown:
- Senatorial: N3 million for the Expression of Interest Form and N17 million for the Nomination Form.
- House of Representatives: N1 million for the Expression of Interest Form and N9 million for the Nomination Form.
- State House of Assembly: N500,000 for the Expression of Interest Form and N1.5 million for the Nomination Form, for a total of N2 million.
The party also announced concessions for certain groups: female aspirants and persons with disabilities will receive the Nomination Form for free, only paying for the Expression of Interest Form.
Additionally, youths aged between 25 and 40 will receive a 50% discount on the Nomination Form fee.
Forms are available at the Directorate of Organisation at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja.
Argungu also specified that delegates who wish to vote must be financial members of the party, with a minimum of three months of dues paid at N200 per month. Delegate forms will be sold for N5,000.
According to the schedule, activities began with the notice of election to state chapters on Monday, June 30, 2025.
The revalidation and update of the membership register will run from Tuesday, July 1, to Saturday, July 5, which is also the sale period for forms.
The submission of completed forms is set to end on Monday, July 7, and aspirant screening is scheduled for Thursday, July 10.
Primary elections will be held between July 22 and July 26, with the final list of candidates to be published on Saturday, July 26.
Campaigns will officially begin on Saturday, July 26, and conclude on Thursday, August 14, ahead of the bye-elections on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
“The party is committed to conducting transparent primaries that comply with the Electoral Act,” Argungu stated, urging aspirants to adhere to the guidelines.
He added, “Only those who have paid their dues for at least a year up to July 2025 and whose names appear on the membership register will be eligible to vote or be voted for.”
