Arrangements have reportedly been concluded for the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at an event scheduled to hold in the state, barring any last-minute changes.
The national leadership of the APC disclosed the plan on Friday at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja during the swearing-in ceremony for the newly inaugurated members of the state executive.

Both the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and Deputy National Chairman, Emma Enukwu, spoke during the ceremony, confirming the efforts being made to bring the governor into the ruling party.
The newly inaugurated Enugu State APC Chairman, Ben Nwoye, also confirmed the arrangements, stating that Governor Mbah will join the APC along with a “retinue of his appointees.”
