Gunmen have abducted the Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Samaila Bagudu, in his hometown within the Bagudu Local Government Area.
Sources indicated that the attackers “stormed Bagudu town on Friday,” and were “shooting indiscriminately.”
These sources specified that the deputy speaker’s abduction occurred shortly after he finished his prayers and was leaving the mosque for his residence.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, Ahmed Idris, “confirmed the abduction” to Channels Television.
However, attempts by the outlet to secure more detailed information from the Kebbi State Police Command regarding the incident “proved abortive.”
