A wave of public indignation has followed the release of a viral video documenting a woman allegedly assaulting her 15-year-old daughter at 32 Tashoro Street, situated near the Ipaja area of Lagos State.
The footage, which began circulating in the early hours of Wednesday, April 29, 2026, depicts a woman in a yellow shirt pinned over the teenager while brandishing a knife.
This follows reports that the mother had already subjected the girl to a severe beating near the entrance of their residence.
