Isaac Fayose Loses Wife

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has announced the tragic passing of his beloved wife.

The businessman and socialite broke the devastating news to his followers through an emotional post shared on his official Instagram account on Saturday.

Posting a somber image of a lit candlelight to symbolise his mourning, he penned a short, painful note: “Rest In Peace, My darling wife.”

In a subsequent post featuring various pictures of his late spouse, Fayose bade her a final, heartbreaking farewell in Yoruba, writing: “Odaro oyinbo mi.” (Goodnight, my white woman).

The painful loss comes just months after Fayose opened up to the public about his wife’s health struggles.

Earlier in March, following a trip to visit his family in Australia, an emotional Fayose had taken to Instagram to reveal that his wife was bravely battling cancer.

Reflecting on how drastically things had changed during that visit, he shared a tearful video describing her weak state.

“My wife is not feeling well. When I got here, she was very weak. The same woman who usually picks me up at the airport couldn’t come, so I had to take an Uber,” Fayose said in tears during the broadcast.

He further recounted how the roles in their household had shifted due to her severe illness.

“She used to cook for me, but now I find myself cooking for her. She couldn’t cook or talk. I sat beside her and sang her favourite song; she held my hand as I sang,” he added.

Following his announcement on Saturday, a flood of condolences has poured in from across the country.

Fans, well-wishers, and several high-profile celebrities—including Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede, veteran comedian Ali Baba, and legendary musician Daddy Showkey, among many others—have taken to his comment section to comfort him during this difficult time.
