Her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were forcefully taken by the attackers during the school run, sparking deep security concerns in the area.

Mrs. John-Paul previously worked as a staff member at both the Central Bank of Nigeria and First Bank Pension Custodian, where she served before opting for voluntary retirement last year.

Following her retirement, she moved to Ibadan with her children, planning to eventually reunite with her husband in the United States.

According to the family, security and law enforcement agencies were notified immediately after the incident and have already launched an active investigation.

Authorities are currently working to ensure the victims are rescued safely and that the culprits face justice.

While deeply distressed by the situation, Adelabu and his family have called on the public to stay calm, urging Nigerians to refrain from spreading unverified rumors that could disrupt the ongoing rescue operations.

They also requested prayers and support, encouraging anyone with actionable information to assist security agencies via the proper channels.

The family assured the public that they are cooperating fully with law enforcement and will share updates as the situation progresses.
