President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sent the nomination of Dr. Zainab Marwa to the Senate, seeking her confirmation as a member of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to represent the North East zone.

During a plenary session, the Senate President read a letter from President Tinubu, who explained that the nomination is in full alignment with the guidelines laid out in the NDDC Establishment Act.

This new appointment is set to fill the empty seat left behind by the former board member, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, who resigned on March 30, 2026, to focus on his run for governor in Adamawa State.
