The video allegedly captures a case of Thunderbolt (Magun), specifically the type known traditionally as “Magun Alalepo”, “Tesho”, or “Withgo”.
According to widespread traditional beliefs across Nigeria, when a man sleeps with a woman who has been laced with this anti-adultery charm, the couple becomes physically glued together during the act, completely trapping them.
The charm is traditionally intended to humiliate an unfaithful couple publicly, as they cannot separate on their own and require specialized traditional intervention to be undone.
In the video, a man and a woman appear to be stuck together, covered with a bedsheet or bed cover or wrapper with others standing close to them as they are being placed in a boat sitting on a river, probably to a place to seek a solution for both of them.
