Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should be disqualified from participating in the upcoming Osun State governorship election.
Sharing his thoughts in a video posted on his verified Facebook page, Fayose responded to open threats made by serving APC senator Francis Fadahunsi, whose video circulated widely on social media on Tuesday.
In the footage, Fadahunsi was spotted telling supporters to kill any member of the Accord Party ahead of the August 15, 2026, governorship election in the state, although the lawmaker later claimed his remarks were meant to be a peaceful, metaphorical call to reject the party at the ballot box.
Reacting to the incident, Fayose severely criticized the Nigerian legal system, arguing that elite figures and politicians like Senator Fadahunsi evade accountability while ordinary citizens face harsher treatment.
To highlight this perceived disparity, he referenced social media personality DJ Chicken, who was arrested within 48 hours after singing a critical song, pointing to an apparent double standard.
Fadahunsi blasted both the ruling party and law enforcement agencies for their inaction, stating:“In a sane country, APC Osun State would be disqualified. What’s the difference between this senator and DJ Chicken? Same offence, but one can get away with it while the other one was arrested.”
“If you want to know that there is no law in Nigeria, you always see the rich and the elite get away with everything. That is why the country can’t be good.”
“DSS and police, we are still waiting for you guys to make statements. And if anything happens to anybody in Osun State on Saturday, hold that senator responsible,” he added.
