Footage has circulated widely across digital platforms capturing representatives of All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship flagbearer in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji—widely known by the moniker ‘AMBO’—distributing currency notes to a gathering of women.

Within the trending recording, an individual attired in a branded shirt bearing the ‘AMBO’ label was observed doling out N1000 bills to each recipient.

This incident materialized concurrently with the APC’s grand campaign rally hosted in Osogbo, the capital city, aimed at galvanizing backing for their candidate just ahead of the August 15, 2026, gubernatorial election.

Addressing the mammoth crowd during the event, Edo North Senator Adams Oshiomhole asserted that Osun State warrants exemplary leadership, which the APC has presented through Oyebamiji.

“Let’s be clear, we are a party of peace, which is why we are called progressive. The only ink we need is the black ink for you to put your thumbprint on, not anybody’s blood,” he said.

In the same vein, Senate President Godswill Akpabio urged Oyebamiji to enact sweeping developmental changes across the state upon assumption of office.

He stated, “You must transform Osun State. As soon as you are elected on Saturday, once you are sworn in, you must begin the progressive movement.

“You must show the people that what they need is dividends of democracy; they don’t need social media.”
