Politician Who Swore On Quran For Kwankwaso Dumps NDC For APC

Kabiru Adamu Abdullahi, a dedicated loyalist and long-standing associate of the Kwankwasiyya movement leader and Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential hopeful Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has formally decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Abdullahi, widely recognized for previously taking an oath on the Holy Qur’an to defend Kwankwaso against claims that he directed Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to join the APC earlier in the year, formalized his exit via a resignation note submitted to the chairman of Kofar Ruwa Ward within Dala Local Government Area in Kano State.

He explained that his departure stemmed from deep disillusionment regarding unfulfilled commitments within his former party, confirming that he intends to back President Bola Tinubu’s upcoming re-election campaign under the umbrella of the APC.

“I have been with Kwankwaso for 29 years but have only benefited from failed promises. I will go to where I will be respected more,” Abdullahi stated.

Within his official correspondence, he expressed gratitude to the NDC platform for prior opportunities before declaring his immediate and total withdrawal of membership.
