The Accord Party has maintained a strong momentum in the ongoing governorship election, securing victories at the polling units of prominent political figures, including former Osun State Deputy Governor Senator Iyiola Omisore.
Data retrieved from the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV) indicated that the Accord Party secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, located at St. Gabriel Primary School in Moore, Ife Ward 1 of Ife East Local Government Area.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) came second with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 10 votes alongside minor figures from other parties.
This follows earlier successes for the party, including a win at the polling unit of former Governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola in Okuku, located within Odo-Otin Local Government Area.
At Oyinlola’s unit, the Accord Party pulled 125 votes, while the APC registered 85 votes and the ADC garnered 5 votes.
The Independent National Electoral Commission continues to upload results onto the portal as collation proceeds across the state.
