Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has publicly rejected her inclusion in the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Campaign Council.
Reiterating her stance on political involvement via an Instagram Story post on Thursday, the movie star urged the public to dismiss reports linking her to the newly released campaign structure.
I’m not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently. I am staying out of politics. Please disregard the supposed inclusion of my name in any campaign committee,
she stated.
The actress’s disclaimer follows the unveiling of the campaign directorate list, which features prominent figures from the film and music industries, including veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Akintola, as well as Fuji music icons Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere, and Adewale Ayuba.
The campaign council setup was released on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre, ahead of its scheduled inauguration at the APC State Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
According to the official list, Toke Benson-Awoyinka serves as Director of the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate, with Jide Kosoko appointed as Co-Director and Eniola Badmus as Deputy Director. Akeem Alimi (Ajala Jalingo) was named Secretary, alongside Assistant Secretary Dare Olateju.
The creative directorate also lists veteran film stars Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadri, and Tayo Sobola, alongside Abiola Adebayo, Remi Oshodi, Foluke Daramola, Kikelomo Balogun, Bopo Oyekan Ismaila, Rasaq Yusuf, Aderinola Philips, Olamide Maja, and Abbey Lanre.
Music industry personalities included on the panel feature Sulaimon Alao Adekunle (Malaika), Akorede Babatunde Okunola (Saheed Osupa), Temitope Adekunle (Small Doctor), Sule Adiro Ataweye, Yemisi Falaye, Leke Babatunde Akinrowo, Kayode Fahm, and Aruna Ishola.
