The suspension followed accusations of his involvement in actions detrimental to the party, including gross misconduct, insubordination, and his refusal to call meetings or explain his role in an incident that embarrassed Anamero Dekeri, a member of the House of Representatives and son of Okpella.
This decision was made during a meeting held on Tuesday at Ward 8, Iddo Okpella, in the Etsako East Local Government Area.

The suspension was endorsed by the ward executive, led by Muhammed Muhammed, along with 22 other APC leaders from the local government.
In a statement signed by Muhammed and the other leaders, it was stated that Abdulahi had failed to lead the party effectively in accordance with APC’s constitution and principles. The suspension was effective immediately.
Abdulahi was further accused of misappropriating funds intended for mobilizing party members to collect INEC voter cards and conspiring with opposition parties to undermine APC’s operations. These actions were deemed harmful to the party’s integrity and goals.
