This comes amid ongoing concerns about the health of the 88-year-old pontiff.

The Vatican explained that following his audiences on Friday morning, Pope Francis will be hospitalized at the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic for diagnostic tests and to continue receiving treatment for bronchitis, which is still ongoing.
The pope has had several hospital visits in recent years, including undergoing abdominal surgery in 2023.
