Why Tinubu Must Be Re-Elected In 2027 – Keyamo

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has called on all APC members to focus on securing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, even if it means putting aside their personal political aspirations.

Keyamo stressed that a second term for Tinubu is crucial to ensure the completion of his ongoing governance reforms.

“Every single APC member in Nigeria today should be concentrating on the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu irrespective of whether it affects your personal interest or not because he does need a second term to fully finish up all these reforms,” Keyamo said on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” on Monday.

He warned that it would be detrimental for a new government to halt these reforms in 2027, citing past instances where inconsistent policies were implemented.

In response to the recent defection of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to the APC, Keyamo, who is from Delta State, stated that he has relinquished party leadership in the state to the governor.

Keyamo emphasized that such sacrifices are necessary to bolster the APC and enhance Tinubu’s re-election prospects.

“Whether I have to make sacrifices like yesterday where we surrendered (party leadership in Delta), it is all irrelevant so long as we are strengthening APC the more for the re-election of Mr President. I don’t care whether it affects me, I don’t care whether I lose out politically, Mr President must be elected,” he said.
