During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Sunday, Senator Ned Nwoko, the representative for Delta North, stated that he “feel[s] sorry for those who have one wife,” arguing that marrying multiple wives provides a man with “greater stability and balance.”
Nwoko, who has four wives, used a vivid analogy to explain his position, saying, “Just imagine standing on one leg — it’s difficult. But with two, three, or four, you’re more balanced. That’s the example I give.”

When the lawmaker was challenged that the Bible does not support polygamy, he countered by asserting, “The Old Testament does. I am a man of faith. But that’s not what we are here for.”
Regarding his own marriage choices, Nwoko was resolute, emphasizing that he harbors “no regret.”
He affirmed, “I would do the same thing again. You should marry who you want to marry,” he concluded.
