The Viral Clash in Abuja

The incident that propelled Lieutenant Yerima into the national spotlight occurred on November 11, 2025, in the Gaduwa District, Abuja.

He was among the personnel guarding a disputed plot of land that Minister Wike visited as part of an enforcement operation against alleged illegal construction.

In the viral video, Yerima was seen firmly standing his ground and challenging the Minister’s actions.

During the heated exchange, where Wike accused him of carrying out an “illegal order” and told him to “Shut up your mouth,” Yerima remained visibly composed, insisting he was “an officer” acting “on order from a three-star General” and that the land had been “acquired legally.”

His composed defiance in the face of ministerial fury was widely praised as a display of professional integrity.
