Kidnapped Oyo Principal Reacts To Reports Of Abductors’ Demands [VIDEO]

A fresh video clip has emerged online showing the kidnapped principal of Community High School in Ahoro-Esinele, Oyo State, Mrs. Rachael Alamu, as she begged for rescue after being held in captivity for more than three weeks.

While speaking in the video, Mrs. Alamu dismissed the reports making the rounds that their abductors were demanding a ₦1 billion ransom and the enforcement of Sharia law as untrue.

The principal was violently taken alongside several primary and secondary school children when armed men invaded the school axis in the Oriire Local Government Area on May 15, 2026.

Public anger and panic had earlier reached a boiling point across the state after the kidnappers released a barbaric video showing the beheading of Michael Oyedokun, a mathematics teacher at the school, shortly after the mass abduction occurred.

To ensure the safe return of the remaining hostages, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde confirmed that the government is combining both tactical force and diplomatic negotiations, with joint security agencies and local vigilantes actively combing the forests to track down the criminal network.
