The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) pump price, moving the cost to N1,270 per litre from N1,250 in Abuja and its environs.
This upward adjustment of N20 per litre at state-owned stations comes despite the ongoing free petrol delivery initiative by the Dangote Refinery to destinations like Abuja at a lower rate.
Following this latest price movement, NNPCL outlets are currently pricing their product higher than several alternative filling stations such as MRS, Geregu, and Mobil.
With this adjustment, motorists across the federal capital territory are now purchasing fuel at varying pump prices ranging between N1,230 and N1,299 per litre depending on the retail station.
