A host of prominent figures from Nigeria’s entertainment sector, including veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Fuji icons Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere, and Adewale Ayuba, alongside Nollywood stars Toyin Abraham, Eniola Badmus, and Bimbo Akintola, have been appointed to the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate of the All Progressives Congress Lagos State Campaign Council.
The lineup was unveiled by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre on Thursday as part of the broader campaign structure, ahead of the official inauguration scheduled for Friday, September 18, at the state APC Secretariat along ACME Road in Ikeja.
Per the released document, Toke Benson-Awoyinka takes charge as Director of the directorate, partnering with Kosoko as Co-Director and Badmus stepping in as Deputy Director, while Akeem Alimi, widely known as Ajala Jalingo, handles the role of Secretary alongside Dare Olateju as Assistant Secretary.
The roster also boasts an impressive lineup of additional talent from the Yoruba film sector, featuring seasoned names like Oga Bello (Adebayo Salami), Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadri, and Tayo Sobola.
Furthermore, the Fuji music industry enjoys heavy representation with artists such as Pasuma, Obesere, Ayuba, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle (Malaika), Akorede Babatunde Okunola (Osupa), and Temitope Adekunle (Small Doctor) all named as members.
This creative wing operates as one of the specialized committees nested beneath the main campaign body, which lists Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Chairman and Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as Deputy Chairman.
