The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially unveiled its National Campaign Council structure for the 2027 presidential election, naming flagbearer Peter Obi and National Leader Senator Seriake Dickson to top leadership positions.
However, the publication of the comprehensive campaign list has raised eyebrows across political circles due to the conspicuous absence of several high-profile figures and key grassroots organizers within the Obidient movement who have championed Obi’s presidential bid in recent years.
While the list includes designated directorates, advisory councils, and state campaign coordinators, notable influencers, digital strategists, and formal movement executives were omitted from the official roster.
Here are five prominent Obidient movement figures missing from the NDC 2027 presidential campaign council:
1. Moses Paul (Dr. Mo)
Moses Paul, widely known as Dr. Mo, serves as a central executive within the Obidient movement. Having served as Secretary General in 2025, he was appointed National Coordinator in October 2026, taking over as his predecessor Yunusa Tanko transitioned into a senior advisory role to Obi.
Dr. Mo gained widespread prominence as the convener of the Free Nigeria Movement and a key youth coordinator during the 2023 campaign cycle, with Obi previously endorsing his bid for the Abuja Municipal Area Council chairmanship. His omission from the central council list remains notable given his direct leadership standing.
2. Aisha Yesufu
Renowned human rights activist and campaign figure Aisha Yesufu played an influential role in Obi’s 2023 campaign strategy and digital engagement. Having officially joined the NDC in May 2026, Yesufu had initially declared interest in the FCT Senate race before stepping back following party primary alignments.
Despite her high-profile media advocacy, structural alignment with Obi’s campaign philosophy, and formal NDC membership, her name was omitted from the campaign council structure.
3. Precious Oruche (Mama Pee)
Precious Oruche, popularly recognized as Mama Pee, is a prominent grassroots organizer, social media influencer, and vocal mobilization leader for the Obidient movement. She has remained a constant advocate for Obi’s political movement across various public platforms, making her exclusion from the official campaign body noteworthy.
4. Peter Akah (Randy Peterz)
Peter Akah, known on digital platforms as Randy Peterz, is a prominent content creator and political activist involved in youth mobilization and civic engagement. Associated closely with Obidient Connect—a coalition mobilizing diaspora and domestic support for Obi—Akah’s non-inclusion underscores the exclusion of several digital strategy heavyweights from the formal party council.
5. Isaac Fayose
Isaac Fayose, businessman and younger brother to former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has publicly documented his personal financial and logistical investments during the 2023 presidential campaign, including providing campaign infrastructure and venue facilities in Ibadan. Following a courtesy visit by Obi in July 2026, Fayose reaffirmed his alignment with the movement, yet remains outside the newly inaugurated campaign council lineup.
