Photos Of 25 Contestants For Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 Emerge

Twenty-five beauty queens from various states will compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant this August.

Chidimma Adetshina, who withdrew from the Miss South Africa pageant last week due to nationality issues, is among the contestants for this pageant.

She joined the Miss Universe Nigeria competition after receiving an invitation from the organizers.

Adetshina, a model with a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother, was born in South Africa.

On August 8, she announced on Instagram that she made the “difficult decision” to leave the Miss South Africa contest to protect the “safety and wellbeing of my family and me.”

The day after her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa pageant, the Miss Universe Nigeria organizers invited her to compete.

They described it as an “opportunity to represent her father’s native land on the international stage” and noted that her “journey in the world of pageantry is far from over.”

The Miss Universe Nigeria pageant aims to provide a platform for Nigerian women to showcase their beauty, intelligence, and cultural pride to the world. The reigning Miss Universe 2023, Ugochi Ihezue, will crown her successor at the grand finale on August 31.

If Adetshina wins Miss Universe Nigeria, she will represent the nation at the Miss Universe competition in Mexico this November, where she will compete against more than 80 women from around the world.

The competition will involve personal statements, in-depth interviews, evening gown, and swimsuit segments.

The reigning Miss Universe is Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua.

As the countdown to the grand finale begins in Nigeria, all eyes will be on the Eko Convention Centre on August 31, where the next Miss Universe Nigeria will be crowned. Voting is a crucial part of the competition, allowing audiences to vote for their favorite contestant as many times as they wish until voting ends on August 30.

The top three contestants with the highest number of fan votes will advance to the top 10.
