Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, has been appointed to the board of trustees of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
Tijani announced the appointment in a post on X on Thursday, calling it a victory for Nigeria.

He said: “I am honoured to be invited by the United Nations secretary general, António Guterres, to serve on the board of trustees of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (@UNITAR), an autonomous institution established within the framework of the United Nations for the purpose of enhancing the effectiveness of the organisation in achieving its major objectives,”.
“My invitation to serve on the UNITAR board is a win for Nigeria, and an acknowledgement of the giant strides made by President @officialABAT towards promoting economic and social development.”
