South Africa Reduce Price Of Petrol, Diesel And Gas

The South African Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has announced a reduction in the prices of petrol, diesel, gas, and illuminating paraffin.

According to a statement from the ministry, the price of petrol will decrease by 92 cents per litre, while diesel will drop by 79 cents per litre.

Illuminating paraffin will be reduced by 103 cents, and gas will fall by 10 cents per kilogram.

The ministry stated that these price reductions will take effect from Wednesday, September 4.

This is not the first time South Africa is adjusting its fuel prices.

The ministry notes that fuel prices are adjusted monthly based on global oil prices and the rand exchange rate.

International factors, including the cost of importing crude oil and finished products, as well as shipping costs, influence these adjustments.

Reports indicate that this will be the fourth consecutive month that South Africa has lowered fuel prices, bringing them down from around R25.15 in May.
