The Nigerian Army has dismissed reports circulating on social media about mass resignations among soldiers due to corruption and low morale as false.
Major General Onyema Nwanchukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, stated that these reports are misleading and intended to incite discontent within the Army.

He emphasized that the Nigerian Army, like other global militaries, operates on a voluntary basis, allowing personnel the freedom to leave if they choose.
The statement also reassured that under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, officers are highly motivated and their welfare remains a top priority.
