Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Mr. Olalere Olayinka as Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, effective immediately.
In a statement issued late Friday, Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press for the Minister’s office, noted that Olayinka brings over 20 years of expertise in journalism, public relations, and media management.

Olayinka’s career encompasses diverse roles across both public and private sectors.
He currently serves as the CEO of Our Peoples FM, Ado-Ekiti, and is the publisher of Wazobia Reporters Online.
From 2014 to 2018, he was the Special Assistant on Public Communications to the Governor of Ekiti State.
Born on October 1, 1972, Mr. Olayinka is a native of Okemesi, Ekiti State, and holds a diploma in Journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos.
” As Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, Mr. Olayinka will oversee the development of communication strategies to improve public awareness of government activities and facilitate stronger engagement between the FCT Administration and the public,” the statement added.
