BEDC Reveals Locations In Edo To Experience More Power Supply

The Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) has announced the completion of a new 33 KV feeder designed to enhance power supply to the Federal Secretariat and surrounding communities in Ikpoba-Hill, Benin, Edo State.

Lawani Jonathan, the Chief Technical Officer of BEDC, made this announcement during the unveiling of the new feeder line at the Ihovbor station in Edo on Thursday.

He explained that the new feeder line was constructed from the Ihovbor station, which is operated by the Transmission Company of Nigeria.

“The 33KV line will supply electricity to two injection substations, which would power the Federal Secretariat along Benin-Abuchi road and other locations in the Ramat park axis.

“As you are aware, the TCN has completed the upgrade. So, they have more power to give to discos,” he said.

He stated that the company had also taken the opportunity to build a new feeder to relieve the existing Egba 33KV, which had supplied electricity to four injection substations along the Benin-Auchi, Agbor roads and New Benin.
