The Muslim community is in mourning following the passing of one of its most esteemed figures, Alhaji Muyideen Bello.
Born in 1940 in Ibadan, Alhaji Bello was highly respected for his deep knowledge and steadfast commitment to Islamic scholarship.

The announcement of his death was made on Friday morning by another well-known Islamic scholar, Alfa Aribidesi of At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da’awah.
Alhaji Basit Olarenwaju, a popular cleric, follower of the late Bello, and Islamic singer known as Aponle Anabi, also confirmed the news by sharing an image of the 84-year-old scholar on his official Facebook page, accompanied by tearful emojis.
While the circumstances of his death remain unclear, his passing marks the end of an era for a man who spent decades shaping the lives of countless individuals through his wisdom, guidance, and spiritual leadership.
Local media reports from Oyo State have also confirmed the death of the respected cleric.
