Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar, the mother of Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, has passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
The governor confirmed the sad news through his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Muhammad Hamisu Gumel.

In a statement, Gumel shared that Hajiya Maryam passed away in the early hours of Wednesday.
The burial will take place later that day, at 4:30 pm, in her hometown of Kafin Hausa, in line with Islamic burial customs.
The governor and his family have requested prayers for the repose of her soul.
The CPS concluded by praying that Allah (SWT) grants her eternal peace in Jannah and provides comfort to the grieving family during this challenging time.
