FG Declares Public Holidays For Easter Celebration

The Federal Government has announced Friday, April 18th and Monday, April 21st as public holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday, respectively.

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made this declaration on behalf of the Federal Government.

Tunji-Ojo conveyed warm congratulations to Christians nationwide on this festive occasion.

In a statement issued by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister stressed the significance of embodying the values of sacrifice and love demonstrated by Jesus Christ’s death for humanity’s redemption.

He also urged Nigerians to utilize the holiday period for prayer, seeking peace, unity, and stability for the nation.

He reassured citizens of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s steadfast dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to promote national growth and development.

He encouraged Nigerians to show love and goodwill to their communities through acts of kindness and generosity.

The Minister extended best wishes to all Christians for a joyous Easter celebration and conveyed warm holiday greetings to all Nigerians.
