Delta State Governor and coordinator of the Presidential Primary Election in the state, Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed strong confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) structure in Delta State will deliver at least 390,000 affirmation votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Oborevwori gave the assurance on Friday during a high-profile visit to the founding leader of the APC in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, at his Evwreni country home located in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
While addressing party leaders and supporters during the visit, the governor charged APC stakeholders and members across the state to mobilize massively and ensure a massive turnout for President Tinubu in the party’s scheduled nationwide presidential affirmation exercise.
He noted that the APC in Delta currently boasts over 470,000 registered members, expressing total confidence that the party structure is fully equipped to deliver substantial participation and overwhelming support.
“We know our strength as a party in Delta State. We have over 470,000 members and we expect massive turnout. We are determined to deliver strong numbers because this exercise is important for the unity and future of our party,” he said.

Oborevwori maintained that the ruling party possesses the grassroots capacity and mobilization strength required to secure significant votes for the President.
He recalled the immense support he personally received during his own affirmation as the APC governorship candidate, noting that President Tinubu deserved even greater backing from the state.
“You affirmed me as sole governorship candidate with over 345,000 votes. This one is for Mr. President and he deserves more because he is the leader of the party,” he said.

The governor also heavily stressed the importance of internal discipline, absolute respect for the party hierarchy, and loyalty to leadership, warning that internal disorder severely weakens political organizations.
Responding to the remarks, the APC founding leader in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, commended Oborevwori for what he described as purposeful leadership since joining the party ranks.
Emerhor, who also chairs the APC Ughelli North Leaders Council, praised the governor’s humility and deep respect for party elders, describing those traits as key strengths in political leadership.
He assured the governor that APC leaders across Delta would work assiduously to deliver massive support for President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential affirmation exercise.
