Court Delivers Ruling In Suit Seeking To Disqualify Jonathan From Participating In 2027 Presidential Election

The Federal High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has thrown out a lawsuit aimed at blocking former President Goodluck Jonathan from contesting in the 2027 general elections.

In its ruling, the court condemned the lawsuit, describing it as an absolute abuse of court processes.

Consequently, the presiding judge slammed the plaintiff with a heavy fine, awarding N20 million in costs against them in favour of the ex-president.
