Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has strongly responded to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo after the governor mocked his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, over his frequent dancing.
The fiery exchange unfolded as political campaigns intensify ahead of the upcoming August 15 Osun governorship election.
Speaking at a campaign gathering, Governor Okpebholo criticized Governor Adeleke’s leadership style, stating, Before somebody signs paper, he will dance. Are you not tired? For four years, this man has been dancing. Before he takes breakfast, before he drinks tea, he will dance

Reacting sharply during a campaign event, Davido fired back at the Edo governor over the remarks.
Addressing the crowd, the award-winning artist stated, Mr Monday Okpebholo, you don see small money now, your voice no dey shake again abi? You’re talking about my governor that all he does is dance. Is there any problem in dancing? Na because you no get talent na. You can talk anyhow

Beyond addressing the Edo governor, Davido also sent a direct message regarding the integrity of the upcoming polls, revealing an interaction with national leadership.
He stated, Mr President, I came to see you personally in Abuja, and you promised me that you will give us a free and fair election

Emphasizing the importance of peace and voter participation under the Vote, Don’t Fight
initiative, Davido urged supporters to remain calm, reject violence, and come out en masse to cast their votes for Governor Adeleke.
